Which Internet browsers support the Toolbar and what are the necessary computer requirements?
The NetDiz Toolbar is supported by Internet Explorer version 5.0 and above, running on Windows 95 / 98 / 2000 / NT / ME / XP

Which languages is the Toolbar available in?
The Toolbar is available in English at the moment.

Will the Toolbar be made available for other browsers or operating systems?
Yes, we are planning to release a Mozilla/FireFox version soon.


Installation

How do I install the NetDiz Toolbar?
To install the NetDiz Toolbar instructions, please follow the steps below:

  • Visit http://netdiz.com/toolbar and click the "Download Now - Free" button
  • When you receive the file download screen, choose "Open"
  • Review the Toolbar Terms of Use, and click "I Agree"
  • Proceed through the remainder of the installation screens.
When the installation completes, the Toolbar should appear at the top of your Internet Explorer screen.

Why do I get a warning message that asks me if I want to install the toolbar?
If a warning message appears when you install the Toolbar it means that your security settings are set to prompt you before any programs are installed on your machine. This dialog box is just asking you to confirm that you want to install the NetDiz Toolbar.

Where did the NetDiz Toolbar go after installation? I can't see it.
If the Toolbar is not visible after installation:

  • On the Internet Explorer View menu, click Toolbars
  • Check the "NetDiz" option

I have tried more than once to install the NetDiz Toolbar but it still fails. What can I do now?
If you have followed all the steps above and still do not see the toolbar, please contact us.

How can I uninstall the NetDiz toolbar?
To uninstall the NetDiz toolbar:

  • On the NetDiz toolbar, click on the NetDiz logo on the left
  • Select Help > Uninstall from the menu.

Does the NetDiz Toolbar track the websites I visit?
No. The NetDiz Toolbar does not track the websites you visit.

Does the NetDiz Toolbar collect any information that can identify me personally ?
No. The NetDiz Toolbar does not collect information about you of any kind.

How do I remove the list of previous searches that appears underneath the search box?
You can clear the Search History by clicking the corresponding option in the NetDiz menu, or alternatively you can disable the feature in your Toolbar settings.

Does NetDiz keep any information on my PC after I uninstall the Toolbar?
No. After uninstalling the Toolbar, the Toolbar and any data placed there by the Toolbar will be removed from your PC.


Using the NetDiz Toolbar

How can I do a search with the NetDiz Toolbar?
Enter a search term or phrase into the search box. Then select a search choice from the dropdown menu. Finally click the "Search" button or hit the Enter key.

How does it work the Highlight feature?
The highlight button lets you highlight words on the current page that you are browsing. Simply enter one or more words in the Toolbar search box and press the "Highlight" button.

Why does a list of terms appear underneath the search box?
Every time you make a search, your search terms are saved in the dropdown list underneath the search box. This is your Search History. To clear the Search History click the link in the NetDiz Toolbar menu. You can also disable this feature in your Toolbar settings.

Where is the NetDiz Toolbar Menu? What does it do?
To access the NetDiz Toolbar Menu, click on the NetDiz logo on the left of the toolbar. This will reveal a list of options. For an explanation of each option, go directly to the NetDiz Menu Help Page.

How do I change my Toolbar settings?

  • Click on the NetDiz Toolbar Menu
  • Select "Options" in the dropdown menu
  • On the Toolbar Options page you can configure the user interface. For an explanation of each feature, go directly to the Toolbar Options Help Page.

How do I add and remove buttons?

  • Click on the NetDiz Toolbar Menu
  • Select "Options" in the dropdown menu
  • On the Toolbar Options page do to the "Choose your buttons" section.

How do I hide the toolbar? How do I make it reappear?
You can hide or display the Toolbar at any time. To hide the toolbar:

  • On the "View" menu, click "Toolbars"
  • Uncheck the NetDiz Toolbar

To display the toolbar:

  • On the "View" menu, click "Toolbars"
  • Check the NetDiz Toolbar

How can I check which version of the Toolbar I am running?

  • Click on the NetDiz Toolbar Menu
  • Select the option Help > About
  • The Toolbar version information will be displayed

What does the Popup Blocker do and how can I enable/disable it?
The Toolbar Popup Blocker blocks pop-ups. Pop-ups are windows opened without your request in front of or behind your current browser windows and contain advertisements. The Popup Blocker can block these advertisements. While capturing most, there might be occasions, where the popups will not be captured in time and still appear. We are working constantly to capture these as well. The Popup Blocker is enabled by default, you can change these settings. Please refer to the Toolbar Options Help Page to know how to do it.
